I wrote it with Neil Davidge, the soundscape wizzard of Massive Attack and recorded in his studio in Bristol last month.

TINA WON TWO "DANISH OSCARS"

Danish Film Academy awarded Tina with two Robert Awards at this year's ceremony in Copenhagen.
Tina was nominated in the categories "Best Music / Score" and "Best Original Song" (Rebel Song) for the music she's written for the Danish film "Oldboys".
It's this music she has elaborated on to make the album The Road To Gävle, now available everywhere.
"THE ROAD TO GÄVLE" NOMINATED FOR TWO "ROBERTS"

The Robert is the Danish equevalent to the Oscar and Tina's music for the film Oldboys has been nominated for
"Best Score" and "Best Song" (Rebel Song which is the end credig song).
The award show is on February 7th in Copenhagen.
"The Road To Gävle" is an elaboration of this film music.

Hi Everybody
Here are some details about my new project that allows you to pledge for very limited signed goodies, cds and rareties and get access to lots of advantages - with the added bonus that 15% of the profits go straight to charity.
From October 14th it runs for a limited period where it'll focus on the upcoming soundtrack release which officially comes out on November 30th.

On my birthday October 14th I'm joining a new platform where for limited periods of time you can pledge for music and exclusive items directly from me - with advantes such as:
- You'll get the music before everyone else
- You'll have access to musical video blogs, un-released songs and live recordings and you'll get the chance to win concert tickets, backstage passes, old setlists and other fun stuff.
Whatever you order from this platform, big or small, you'll have access to all the advantages AND:
- You can download the new soundtrack 2 weeks before release.
- Physical cds are shipped as soon as they're ready from the factory. And if they need signing then as soon as I'm done.
- More than a month before release, as soon as we're done with the mastering, you'll automatically get an mp3 of one of the songs in your inbox.
The point is that I'd like to be able to offer a wider and more exciting experience than just buying a cd in a record shop or jumping on Itunes.
Besides getting your hands on rarer stuff it'll hopefully be more colourful and action-packed to keep up with what I'm doing, and to me it's an opportunity to give more than just a cd every or every other year.
In the upcoming period you can mainly pledge for packages with signed soundtracks, personal Christmas cards and handwritten lyrics.
But also for tickets to small shows that will only be sold and advertised through here - for now the shows are only in Århus and Copenhagen, though.
Lastly a few exclusives like a personal video greeting with a performance of a song of your choice.
Some of the packages are kinda costly but you can also just get the download - as descibed 2 weeks before release and with all the same advantages and chances of winning prizes.
15% of the profits go to charity - this time I've chosen Amnesty International who I've worked with before.
I hope you'll participate so we can see if this is something we want to play with in the future!
It kicks off on October 14th at 6 PM Central European Time, so 9 AM in Los Angeles, 12 PM in New York and 5 PM in The UK.

"THE ROAD TO GÄVLE"
At the end of last year I was asked to write all the music for a Danish feature film called Oldboys.I spent the most of my three month in LA and New York at the beginning of this year on the score - a huge mouthful and admittedly a lot more challenging than I had expected. It led me into some musical corners I hadn't visited before - with a big string arrangement for a funeral scene as the biggest hurdle.
In March I toured the US with my trio - Dennis Ahlgren and Helgi Jonsson who lots of you will have met by now - and in a 5-day hole in our schedule we went into the legendary Electric Lady Studio in New York and recorded most of what is now heard in the film.
But after handing in the music I couldn't just leave the music and I kept writing and building on it. Many of the instrumental bits that were needed for the film were concieved as full songs with lyrics in my head so I finished these songs, wrote new stuff and went back into the studio to finish the album you'll now soon be able to get your hands on.
This is the tracklist:

All I See in a re-recording is the only repetition - it plays quite a big part in the film.
We've played Rebel Song at our summer shows in Denmark with full band and Goldhawk Road has been tried and tested by Helgi and I on the US tour we've just finished.

On October 20th Tina will play Piano's in New York and on the 23rd she'll be back at Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles.
This time she's bringing multi-instrumentalist and singer Helgi Jonsson who's best known for his trombone playing with Icelandic Sigur Ros but who's also a singer/songwriter in his own right and will open with a short solo set.
Tina will bring copies of the brand new release "A Beginning, Detour, An Open Ending" which won't be out until January 27th in the US.

TINA WINS THE DANISH CROWN PRINCE'S CULTURAL AWARD

Sunday evening, September 14th, Tina was honoured with one of Denmark's most prestigious awards: The Crown Prince And Prinsess's Cultural Award 2008.
It was presented to her by the royal couple themselves at a show at the Royal Opera House in Copenhagen followed by a concert with Massive Attack.
The show was broadcasted on Danish television and Tina played the song Quarter To Forever. Watch it at the end of the YouTube clip below...
